Ok, i finally solved the strange graphical glitch. It needed to add a " ; " symbol before a line inside the cfg text, in game's folder.

I started the game, in normal, picked a PSI character (psionic), then picked up my ass from the floor the zombie things handed to me and decided to start anew, as a navy. Because i really like the prospect of hacking and maintenance, other players so strongly suggest. Third year's option, though, is either 1 to research, or 2 to 2 different stats, endurance/agility. Which one should i pick out of those? What does research do, is it actually useful? Or i am better off with endurance, for higher life and damage resistance? Or agility... Damn i am confused...

I think you should get at least 1 Research point at the beginning of the game though an implant can give you this (temporarily anyway) later on. I suggest you either go all out with Psi, or don't do it at all. You can try being Navy or Marine with a bit of Psi power on the side, but you're pretty much gimping yourself
Is this your first play-through? (if so, I envy you. You 're in for a real treat!)

On Normal difficulty, don't sweat this third year choice too much! I think RenKalan is right and research is best, but you can't go wrong with any of them.

Research lets you , well, research certain items in the game. With one point, you can research organs from dead enemies that will let you do more damage to those enemies. One point in research is also required to progress in the game, but you don't have to get it right at the start. The game will let you know via the story that you'll need to get research, and you'll get cyber modules to go get it. So, if you don't choose research now, you'll be okay!

Endurance can definitely be useful for the extra health. Agility can be useful for slightly faster movement speed. On normal, you should get or find enough cyber modules that you can bump these up slightly as needed.

Ok. I picked research. And payed off wonderfully, as by its result, i now do more damage to simple enemies (got that organ drop and analyzed it). Am going to progress. Already disabled first turret and camera and descending downwards. What an interesting and great game this one is. I don't know, but to me, it seems far better than Bioshock.

Another question, then... What about storage? My inventory is full and i have not even cleared the first area!

Once I have elevator access, I throw extra gear on the floor there. As I recall, the game engine will jostle items on the ground but you won't lose anything through the geometry.

I don't remember what I did before I had the elevator. Maybe I just threw things in the hallway in front of the Med/Sci elevator. Alternately, the nearby chem lab is a safe place (read: no one will come patrolling in there while you mess with the inventory).

You mean the first elevator which is jammed? The one with the huge yellow button to the left side of the door? Right next to the hackable security control panel (the first in the game)?

That's the one! When you get it up and running again, its a good place to store your stuff (most of the time) because the items in the elevator move with you from deck to deck.

And a last question. Even though i almost cleared the first floor, zombies started appearing in areas that were already clean. Without triggering a camera (like in Med). Is this normal? Or i did something wrong? Those extra mobs weren't anything tough or troubling, but they jumped on me and surprised me (cause i was certain area was clear already)...

You're on a giant interstellar starship full of mutated monsters and robots. You actually think you can clear ANY areas? Hahahahaha...

PSI is a terrible path for first-time players. It's basically SS2's "wizard" class, which means it's really complicated, and you're really weak for the first third or so of the game.

I would NOT recommend using elevators for long-term storage.Things can go missing from them sometimes when you pack a lot into them. Better to find a room somewhere near an elevator.

Also, good to see you responding positively to SS2 keeping up the monster population. So many people throw a tantrum over that.

I agree. I begun first time as a PSI and became dead meat. Navy worked more than well for me. All these technical skills!!!

Also, i know what PSI skills are useful, the one which drags objects to you from distance, pyrokinesis (aoe) and cryokinesis, for starters.
