It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Random_Coffee: How did you get a higher resolution than the default?
avatar
shadowknight2814: sshock.ini in the base System Shock folder. Look for CustomWidth and CustomHeight to edit. After that fire up the game, go to the Video menu (after starting a game) and pick your custom resolution.
Thank you. I tried running it in 1680x1050, but I got 25-30 fps. 1280x1024 worked decently, but not great. I guess I'll stick to the default 1024x768, as that seems to be the sweet spot.

MasodikTiasma: It is explained here. Judas from the GOG staff posted this link on the release thread of SSI.

EDITED because I'm a dumbass who can't embed links properly :-p

staticblast: That actually doesn't explain anything if you don't know what was included in SSP to begin with, which I don't.

Have a link for that?
Sadly not. But it shouldn't be too hard to find on the same forum, or even here if you ask other GoG users.
This is mostly SHLINK isn't it? it seems very similar to SHLINK anyway.

EDIT: nevermind, I read up on the link provided. It answered all my questions.

voodoo47: no, the compatibility, resolution and graphics part is better/more advanced than what SSP had (dosbox and dgvesa).

Fenixp: Did it have the controls for weapon cycling and one button leaning?
Weapon cycling is set to the Q key. Left and Right lean are Z and C respectively, X resets lean.

Yes I know, I was asking whether SSP contained those keys as well, because all I can remember is E for mouseaim.

oh, okay. I don't remember the weapon cycling, but I thought it did have the leaning.
