Although a lot of you do GOG's fighting for them it would still be interesting to hear their response to this topic.

Yeah, I'd really like to see some blue text in here. It's tough cause I'm so happy with GoG for getting the game here, but this seems (to my layman's perspective anyhow) to have been handled very poorly.

Until I hear a response from GoG regarding this I am actively telling people to stay away from purchasing this title. As a long-time modder this kind of action is entirely despicable, especially after the rockpapershotgun interview where they claim these very mods aren't "good enough"!

Yeah. this is pretty shady, although I think it's Night Dive who are more to blame than GOG (who are just being their usual oblivious selves)

Well, GOG is selling System Shock 2, not a patch, so what is the problem?
I never seen anywhere that Dosbox or ScummVM people have issues with GOG releases.
If the patch-makers have problem with release, why don't they sue. It would be funny to see how would it go.
And GOG nowhere claimed patch as their own.

Dosbox and ScummVM people are credited. Authors of the authors of the various fixes used in the GOG SS2 release are.
