Here is my sshock.ini .

Maybe it helps .
my pc is too slow, so I don't have the problem. anyway, whoever is having this issue, edit your sshock.ini and set VSync=Yes

that should slow you down significantly (you can display the framerate with FRAPS, it works). if it's still not enough, bump up your resolution to slow things down even further.

do post whether this got you through.

Could using the reflex patch item help? I know, I know, it only works in meatspace, but I was wondering if anyone tried it yet and whether it would have the fortunate side effect of "restoring" the time limit for the boss fight if you enter cyberspace while under the influence of reflex?
I don't remember having any issues with the CD-ROM version in DOSBox few years back.

I think it needs to be vsync=on/off. The default "Vsync=Yes" line is an oversight.

both will work, actually.

Okay, finished the game without problems, and I have an overclocked 2500K Sandy Bridge so definitely not tied to CPU speeds, at least not in Intel processors. What I was wondering whether it makes a difference if you install through Galaxy vs. if you use the downloadable installers? Mine was installed through galaxy. Also, Vsync was off, filtering was set to nearest, resolution to 1024*768, fullscreen was on and softwarerender was off. With mine the music didn't work at all during the game but to be honest, I think it added to that nice, creepy atmosphere.

Oh and I'm on Windows 7, did everyone who has this issue have another OS?
Enabling vsync made it possible. Thank you very much as this was giving me a headache as there wasn't enough time to fight otherwise.
Thank you! The "VSync" helped a lot. I was sure it wasn't my fault that I kept losing with the fight against SHODAN. This is my first time playing the game and in many ways, this game is superior than the sequel (but of course, SS2 is way awesome).

Thank you Night Dive Studios for making this happen!
