Hi,

post any bugs you've noticed - especially if you know any workarounds - here!

Overall, it seems a bit rushed / buggy. There's a bug report thread on Steam, but it is impossible to follow as it is already 18 pages long LINK. Much more quiet here!

I'll start with a few problems I've noticed:
- The game can not handle all input or rebind. A great example / annoyance: in inventory, all items say "hold right Alt to show description" - but my KB does not have "right ALT" it has "AltGR" - which the game can not recognize at all!
- The UI gets all borked one changes to a resolution with a different aspect ratio. Luckily, a restart will fix this.
- wrong FOV handling for ultrawides (already reported on Steam forum) - the game uses horizontal component for the calculation (or vert-), which is suboptimal in itself, but goes wrong by using the actual dimensions of the selected resolution for the window, which results top and bottom parts being cropped instead of extending the FOV on ultrawides. A report. There is at least one other thread about this.

Fatal Error After Successful Cyberspace Run in Maintenance Level

This regards the cyberspace terminal in the eye-scanner locked room in the south-east corner of the maintenance level. Every time I complete the cyberspace level successfully and exit at the end, immediately after the transition back to real life, the game crashes without giving me any time to save.

"Fatal error."

The error message doesn't say anything else. Oddly enough, it is specifically the transition after success at this terminal alone.

I've done all the other cyberspace terminals so far with no such crashes. I also don't get a crash from this terminal when I die / lose and am booted out prematurely or if I turn around and leave out the entrance. It's only after I succeed and leave at the end of the level. I've tried it three times with the same result each time.

I also tried lowering all graphics settings for the third attempt, but this did not change the result. I don't wish to try a fourth time until I know the issue has been fixed. It's no small amount of effort beating that level.

passiert rein gar nichts.

Spiel neu starten bringt auch nix.

Will nicht wieder von vorn beginnen.

I ran into this bug as well.

I thought it was a Steam Deck issue at first, but it crashes at the same point on my desktop with a 3060 TI.

I also tried lowering the graphics, it doesn't seem to help. The battle in the last room gets really chunky and eventually crashes.

What I ended up doing was shooting out the node the opens the maintenace door while still in the other room (you can destroy it without entering that final room and starting the battle), then I used dash to just run for the exit. I was able to successfully exit cyberspace without crashing, then I immediately saved my game.

While I was exiting cyberspace, the game stuttered as if it was going to crash, but I was still able to exit and save.

After THAT, the game did crash anyway with the same fatal error, but I was able to relaunch System Shock and continue from my successful save point.

The room you unlock is a CPU node room, so this is potentially game blocking for people. If you're crashing, try running for the exit after killing the door node or using the recall escape (I didn't test recall, but worth a try).

Seems to be an issue with using Medi's after a Detox. The Medi never heals you. Reverse order works properly.

Also is there a way to get the minimap on the right side of the screen like in the original? I really do not want it on the left.
The cyberspace terminal in Maintenance always crashes just before the end. I fear, this a game breaking bug and I cannot proceed :/

Thanks, after destroying the node i just ran for the exit and it got me back from the cyberspace. I still had to restart the game since it was stuttering.

I have a Ryzen 9 5900x with an RTX 3080.

Many people report not being able to leave cyberspace (workaround load pre-cyberspace save file). I have another problem with cyberspace:

I picked up the "pulser combat", but I cannot shoot. This did not seem like much a problem at the first terminal, but hours later at the second (the one in Alpha Quadrant of Medical level), I get attacked and still cannot defend myself. LMB moves forward instead of shooting, like guides suggest. Any hints?
At least one of the logs is nowhere to be found. (And it is Stashed Pack at that, so without a walkthrough you will have to spend quite some time with the Keypad in Storage)
I have completed the level and got all the way up to executive, still looking for the missing message. Finally I looked for a walkthrough to make sure where to find it. (According to the Walkthrough it Should have been in Front of the Cyborg conversion room on Storage)
Unfortunately, the only workaround I found is to look for the code online.
Encountered the same cyberspace issue!
Thanks for the workarounds :)

BTW: is the cyberspace recall working for anyone?
Tried it several times, but it is doing just nothing

Recall hasn't worked for me once, also encounter the bug you mentioned as well.

Recall doesn't work for me either, but I never used it in the original so I'm not sure what exactly it does...
When I rode from Medical to Research, got jumped and died, the music continued to playing after respawn in Medical (I'm not sure if I was even supposed to respawn there, or at all).
Anyway, when I rode back, mutants just spawned in the elevator. Definetly not something that should happen by laws of physic.

I have encountered an issue of radiation not going down by itself. So I took quite a bit of damage from the 10 radiation. Luckily I could use the radiation treatment on Reactor Deck to solve the issue.
May not be a bug, possibly an oversight. If you save and reload with the environment suit activated, your save doesn't re-activate it. You'll need to do so yourself, otherwise you'll endure a full dosage of radiation. I recommend keybinding it, and after reloading, hit that button the moment you hear in-game sound effects to avoid taking lethal damage.
