Hey all. So i'm sure i'm not the only one who wants to play the game in its original language but isn't fluent in french. It would be really cool to be able to play the game in french with english subtitles.
Apparently there's no ingame choice for languages and we're limited to choosing one language during the installation.
However, it should be simple enough to install for example the french version and replace the subtitles and menus with the ones from the english version ( or perhaps the opposite, replace the audio files in the english version). Has anyone tried this? If so, can you walk me through the process? Thanks in advance.

Edit: I'm talking about Syberia 1.

I just tried it and it is pretty easy.

1) Download the French and English version of the game.
2) Install the French version of the game and copy the folder "sounds" and the three files from within the folder "Videos\AN" somewhere else.
3) Uninstall the French version.
4) Install the English version of the game.
5) Delete the folder "sound" and copy the "sound" folder from step 2 into the game directory.
6) Copy the three video files from step 2) into the folder Videos and into the folder Videos/AN - overwriting existing files.

Explanation:
1) The folder "sounds" contains all sounds and dialogue. So it probably would be enough to fiddle with the dialogues folder but this way it's more easy.
2) The three files in "videos/AN" are the only cutscene files that also do contain dialogue. Unfortunately they are in different directorys depending on which language you are using. Copying the ones you want to both possible locations assures the game is running without problems.

Works perfect, thanks friend.
