Yeah, I think GOG gets all Pit updates Steam gets. For whatever reason, it just takes GOG a little longer to get it up there but worth it for DRM free copy. I'll always take GOG over Steam.

reason is simple - GOG builds its own installers, also they are (or should be) testing games before release ( was not that visible in case of The Pit, though :P )
