Hey guys,

If you have all three installers, here's the proper way to ensure you get the full Gold Edition:

1. Install Sword of the Stars: The Pit (base game)

2. Install The Pit: MindGames (DLC)

3. Install the Gold Edition upgrade (DLC to MindGames, needs MindGames already installed to install)

After that, you should have a fully functional Gold Edition :)

i have a better solution ; provide the full installer for those who purchased the base game + dlc + upgrade separatly

it makes all easier , respect player , and cost nothing to you , actually the way the game is handled for those who are early suporters is a real mess up >.>

and provide the contrary for the laters supporters , if they want to just play the base game.

i don't care what 's the problem with the devs , but i exige to get the full installer >.<

DyNaer, we do provide three installers. Why do we provide them in such a way? Say you want to play the base game and nothing else, no MindGames, no Gold Edition, you can. I personally think this leaves power in the hands of the player as they can always uninstall the game and re-install what they wish to install.

Or would you rather have no choice and be forced to install the Gold Edition and only the Gold Edition?

the problem isn't the seperates installers, the problem is : i don't have access to the full installer if i want to play the gold version -> i'm forced to use 3 files to get the same content : do you think it's better than using the full installer ? i don't think so.

if i want to play the base game or the mind game , i could still use the seperate installers : i'm agree to this point.

i think the mistake was done when the gold version came out you didn't provided the full installer free of charge for those who purchased the gold edition upgrade.

and for those who purchased only the gold version , they should have access to the base game + the pit installers aswell., otherwise your point doesn't stand...... because according to the gold version game card ; the players who are laters buyers have no choice

and for the record this page : http://www.gog.com/game/sword_of_the_stars_the_pit_gold_edition
isn't marked as "owned" for me , that's the reason i said there's a full installer

Why dont we get both choices? :)

I personally would prefer to have 1 installer for everything...since i like to play the game with full content. But i have to use 5 installers (with patches) at the moment which is really annoying

That's my point : i don't see where's the problem :

the early buyers get the full installer aswell and the laters ones the seperate installers.

Neither GOG or the devs will loose money , or there's something really twisted i ignore >.>.

Also, don't forget the site lists the Gold Edition as having a 1.1GB installer, whereas if you download all three it works out closer to 2, maybe even 2.5GB
Thought prospective buyers might like to know the gold edition installer still will not work at all unless you have installed the base game. Which is impossible if you only own the gold edition.

Wrote to support, still frustrating.
Two days later and no resolution or response, problem still exists. No GOG support on the weekend?

GOG offices are closed on the weekend.

Gold edition should have 3 installers: base game, Mindgames DLC, & Gold DLC. Unless, you mean you only bought the Gold DLC? Support will likely get back to you tomorrow.
Thanks for the info.

I bought this:
http://www.gog.com/game/sword_of_the_stars_the_pit_gold_edition
which lists SOTS: The Pit as included.

In my account, the only files available for download are the upgrade and mind games. No base game. Confirmed the files available for download will not install base game.

That's the right one. You might have to wait until support gets back to you.

Have tried clearing your browser's cache, account refresh or un-hiding any hidden games (those bugs might not apply in this case)? That's all I got.

Gydion: That's all I got.
No dice. Thanks anyway.

edit: gog support has fixed the problem.

Similar issue.

I have Sword of the Stars: The Pit and the Gold Upgrade, and I cannot buy the new Pilgrim DLC because it tells me I haven't got the Gold Edition.
