Hi devs!

I wanted to report a couple of bugs I've experienced that need fixing. I've only just reached the oil fields so I might find more later, in which case I'll update this thread as I play through the game, but figured I'd get started on the bug report now.

For anyone else potentially reading this thread - none of the issues I found were game breaking or even much of a problem at all, the list is mostly nitpicking due to wanting to contribute to making the game even more excellent than it already is. If you enjoy Commandos-likes (or Desperados-likes as I've seen the genre re-dubbed to in later years), you will have a blast with Sumerian Six and should not be deterred from buying and playing it due to my list of minor issues that I am sure will be ironed out very soon anyway!

- In Lilleby, at some point Rosa's Stunning Link ability bugged out. I was perpetually tethered to a guard I had killed - so the link just ended on the ground where he had stood - and whenever I used it on anyone else and then tried to kill them, I'd get a fatal error and CTD every time. Stunning Link effectively became unavailable for the remainder of the mission.

- I'm not actually sure if this is a bug, but if it isn't I'd strongly urge you to reconsider how this functions. Enemies can see other enemies when they step on Alistair's launchpad, even if the launchpad is set up in areas the enemies can't see. Currently being at the very start of the oil field, where the game is set up as a launch pad tutorial, I'm not finding a way to actually use it successfully without raising an alarm. If it can't even be used stealthily in the area set up as a practice area for that skill, I'm guessing it's not functioning how you intended it to. Enemies should only raise the alarm if they 1) see enemies step onto the trap, or 2) see where they land. If they can't see the location where the launch pad is, they shouldn't raise the alarm when an enemy steps on it. Update: On further experimentation it seems to work properly later in the level. Still worth looking into as enemies definitely saw others step onto the trap even though the trap was set up out of sight.

- If I alt-tab out of the game, the volume of the music is lowered (which is great). But when I return to the game, the volume of the music remains lowered.

- It's a little difficult to tell exactly what the reach of the skill blockers is. It's a little frustrating navigating my guy into position only to discover that it wasn't outside the range after all.

- The info circles need to stop popping up every time a character crosses them. I've died a couple of times because I've pressed enter to trigger my actions, but a character has just moved onto/across an info circle, causing enter to open the information and me to miss my timing. Missed timing = dead characters. Easily fixed by having the player shift click on the circles to trigger them again.

- On one reload, Wojtek was stuck in a T-pose. He was sneaking when I saved and was registered as sneaking when in T-pose as well. Pressing space did nothing, the only fix was another reload.

- At one point, at Kammler's Secret Base, Rosa got stuck on a ledge and refused to move. I had to reload and go back quite a while.

- All the characters occasionally remain standing after killing someone or taking another action, despite being in sneak mode when they attack.

- In Site of Sacrifice, the lightning triggers a graphical glitch that turns the ground solid green for a split second. I assume it's supposed to make everything a lot brighter for that split second to mimic lightning, but it's not working properly.

- Visibility pins don't always show which enemies have visibility to the spot they're at.

I'll add other bugs as I find them. Don't get me wrong, I'm having a blast with the game so far and am looking forward to playing my way through the rest of it! Just figured a bug report could help you iron out some stuff to polish the game further, and skills functioning correctly is pretty important in a game like this. :)

Hi, one of the devs here.

The vast majority of these issues are already known to us, will look into the others.

Cheers!

Hi,

much appreciated! I finished Sumerian Six the other day and enjoyed the experience quite a bit, so please don't take my list as a criticism of your game! My hope was simply that it could contribute to further increase the quality of an already excellent game.

For anyone else potentially reading this thread - none of the issues I found were game breaking or even much of a problem at all, the list is mostly nitpicking due to the aforementioned goal of wanting to contribute to making the game even more excellent than it already is. Relax! All of it absolutely is valid criticism! :)

And every bit of feedback helps us make the game better, so thanks!
