Hello all, I have to admit I'm a little bit lost in this game. I have cleaned out the bank. Talk to the dream Walker and his wife not in that order. Where did the dead guy in the hotel. Looted the warehouse. Trying to use a crowbar to open the planks of wood in the warehouse but failed. I am no not sure where to go. I even found the gentleman with all the camping equipment in the Little Shack. However, I know I always seem to be doing is collecting loot with no clear indication of where to go. Without giving Major Spoilers or anything away can anyone point me in a Direction so that I don't feel like I'm just wondering around getting tired and hungry. Thanks in advance.

For some reason this game tends to open up more quests as you make progress on other (often unrelated) quests. The game tends to throw quests at you at a faster pace once the initial slow-paced quests are moved further along.

After clearing out the bank - if you have indeed cleared it out (found what was hidden and opened it?) - then keep wandering around, ask people about what you've found, and something seemingly unrelated should occur which you can investigate further. At this point at least some of the quests will become clearer, or at least point you to obvious places.

Also, did you really clear out the warehouse? Or just the first room? The first time I went in there I could only get to one room, but later on I could explore many more rooms...

Make sure you always have enough food to stave off hunger (buy cans from the bar or the pawn shop).

Always try to have a few camping supplies around, and rest once you start getting tired (fireplace, or the bar if it's free - the latter is also dictated by the flow of quests). The bar is hardly ever free, and it costs - fireplaces are free (Ihere are two in town), but you may get attacked (but also get more loot). Later on, when you have tons of cigs, it's worth resting more often - less for actual rest and more for research purposes (to figure out what strange things you've acquired and/or to craft things).

To use the crowbar, you need a minimum of 1 melee, plus a minimum of PHYS+Melee == ? (I think it's 5 or so for most crates?). Unless you've used PHYS as a dump stat, it should be easy enough to get to the point of crowbar usage next time you level. Either way though, although you miss out on some loot by not being able to crowbar through some crates, it's nothing to worry about - you should be able to obtain a similar amount of loot (or at least, save a similar amount of loot) by regularly employing one or more of your "main" skills. The same goes for subterfuge and lockpicks.

Hope that helps a bit. Honestly I can barely remember exactly what I did to get to the point where quests starting flowing a bit better - just know that you'll shortly be at a point where you'll likely get more loot via quests (directly or otherwise), to the point that buying a bunch of supplies or cans won't seem so daunting. At some point quests just throw themselves at you, before things quieten down for a bit again. Also it's worth checking your journal once in a while - I've had stuff in there I'm pretty sure I didn't hear or read anywhere, yet somehow I apparently gleaned some knowledge of someone's house or something...

Finally, every now and then some minor loot gets replenished in all of those loot spots around town, so if you're running low on anything (or even if you haven't checked them in a while), it might be worth just having a quick look at the loot piles around town. It won't make you rich, but it all helps.

Hi, if you're talking about about finding the bank presidents hidden safe no I couldn't find it. I did notice that the cursor lit up on one of the posters in the back room but I have clicked on everything I just can't find it.

tarjan95: Hi, if you're talking about about finding the bank presidents hidden safe no I couldn't find it. I did notice that the cursor lit up on one of the posters in the back room but I have clicked on everything I just can't find it.
It should be the poster on the right-hand side in the final room towards the right. If the cursor lit up you should have been able to click on it - if not, try right-clicking and choosing something from the radial menu. I don't think you need any special skills to find it, but you may need to find and read the note that tells about it (which you've probably already found, since I'm pretty sure it doesn't even light up until you do).

Then to actually get to the safe you'll need to use some kind of skill - I used science, which meant I had to exit and buy some acid and then come back - but it can also be done with a high enough melee skill (probably requires a suitably heavy melee weapon), and I'm pretty sure there's an investigation option. If your PC can't do it no matter what, then you should be able to talk to one of the guys outside the bank and he'll smash it for you (costs ciggies I believe).

Once the safe is finally revealed, simply open it and check out the contents - that should progress the plot and some extra quests should trigger as you wander around.
I cannot remove the poster. When I click on it all I get is description. When I right click on it nothing happens.

Then it might not be the correct poster. It should be the one at the right-hand side, in the right-most room.

If it still doesn't work, try re-reading your notes - one of the "Notes from the Bank Manager" should mention the poster explicitly. If you don't have a note that mentions this, then you'll need to find it elsewhere in the bank first before you're able to do anything with the poster.

If all that still doesn't work, it's probably another bug - maybe try restoring to an earlier save, up to when first entering the bank maybe? Also raise it as a bug if that's the case, so the devs can fix it.
Reading the third note of bank owner unlocks the ability to remove poster iirc.
No I read the third note that the bank manager wrote it did not allow me to get to the safe. Any other suggestions?
Just press the ~ (console button) to open the console and type:

add_item cthulhu_statuette
to spawn the statue in your inventory

add_item dismal_mans_poem
to spawn the poem in your inventory

Those are the items inside the safe with the nr.0. You should be fine as long as you completed all the other quest steps in order.

I know this may sound weird. I don't have any idea what you're talking about when you say console and even if I did know what you were talking about why in the heck should I have to type anything the game either works or it doesn't. I am willing to give games the benefit of the doubt if they are in Early Access but I believe this is not. What I believe you were telling me isn't the game did not go through enough testing before it was released and this is a game breaking bug?

Possibly.

Do you have a save from before entering the bank? If so load that and re-do the entire bank again (it's not very many rooms so shouldn't take too long).

If it happens again, then I would go insane (in real-life, not the game).

I haven't heard anyone else encountering this AFAIK - and the game is, as you state, not exactly without its share of bugs, and I've heard of people having trouble opening the safe or the wall to get to it, but never the poster - so it's possible you missed a step or something - or that it's a flukey glitch, e.g. caused by something not saving/loading correctly (which is of course also a bug).

I have redone the bank three times as three different character. In all cases I have all three of the notes. In all three cases I have killed all lunachicks and receive the item from the teller. At this point I have emailed the developers but doubt they will get back to me. I will most likely be stuck getting a refund which is quite a shame because I believe this game great potential.

Well they do have a ton of bugs to fix - for me it keeps crashing in what I think is one of the last battles of the game. Hopefully they'll fix them all soon - I agree this game definitely has potential. The C&C is pretty good, so many different variations to solve many of the puzzles (when these work) - just a shame that it was rushed (also seems to be lacking content as well as bugs).
What I suggested was a way to bypass the paining removal and opening of the safe by those console commands. You would have simply added to your inventory the items the you were supposed to pick up (from inside the safe) and (hopefully) continue the main quest.
If you e-mailed the devs directly then they might ask you for the game log files and in order to create those you would need to use console commands as well.

Open your game and load your saved game then press the console button
The console ~ button is the one under your Esc key on your keyboard , by doing so you just opened the console ( here's screen shot on how its supposed to look: https://ibb.co/7nvr1D3 ) and you can start using console commands now just type in the command and the press enter.

add_item cthulhu_statuette
this should add on of the missing quest items
add_item dismal_mans_poem
should add the other missing quest item
