In HD version they added something called "special Tactical Powers", and in my opinion it ruining multiplayer games. It's not pure strategy game anymore. Those spells are just overpowered, one spell can destroy half of enemy buildings. Stronghold was always medieval game, almost historical, why killing it by add magic? I'm really disappointed.

You do realize that Crusader HD comes with the original game plus the extreme version.

I'm confused. I have classic, and Crusader Extreme HD. There is no Crusader HD.

(eg I'd want what was done to Stronghold HD without the 'extreme' version's additions)

Look in Crusader's startup folder. There's a shortcut for Stronghold Crusader HD (without the Extreme part). In the main game folder it only shows up as Stronghold Crusader, but it's the very same thing.
