Hey guys,

I tried to install the German version of the original Stronghold game (not the HD version), but no matter which language I select on the download page (or the Galaxy Client), the resulting download is in English. In the installation directory there's no possibility to select the language, too.
Does anyone know how to solve?

Thanks,

Thomas

The classic version is offered as a bonus or extra. The extras, unlike the installers, are independent from the language you select in the download page; it is always the same file. I can't check it since I'm not at home, but it looks like the classic game is only available in English. But there isn't another file; if it is available in other languages, they should be contained in the same file.

Don't know why you'd use the classic one, though, since HD is the exact same as the classic game, just with high resolution support and a few minor bug fixes.
Hi guys,

thanks for your replies. I guessed that there is only one file to download, but in contrast to the HD version, there are no files in other languages than English in the installation directory and so I wanted to play it safe.

@Plokite_Wolf: Stronghold was my first PC-game and therefor today I wanted to play it like then: Without widescreen resolution and with black bars on both sides of the monitor instead.
I still have the old version of the game on CD, but I think it's then needed to keep the CD in the DVD-drive all time. A simple download without copy protection would be easier.

800x600 isn't removed from the resolution options, but whatever rows your boat I guess...
I thought the old resolutions were removed in the HD version and therefore never tried it.
Thank you, then the old version isn't needed any more. :D
