It appears that more Strongholds will be forthcoming as thsi is the forum for the Stronghold Series of games.
I personally liked Stronghold the best of them all.

Yea it says on the homepage that Stronghold: Crusaders is coming soon aswell!

Which Stronghold would you guys get? I played one of them a very long time ago, I don't know if regular or Crusaders, but I noticed that Crusaders is $10 while Stronghold is $6. So is Crusaders really worth the $4 more or should I just get Stronghold?

I liked the original with the resource system and its original charm. Who could not like planting apple trees!? :o)
It would be a good place to start anyway and if you like in the future you could get the other title.

I have both on CD-Rom, and I like both games.
However game play- Crusader is great because of the Skirmish feature, and the AI opponents.
For Editing? Stronghold- It offers more with the terrain, and buildings.
Stronghold Heaven is a good place for new maps, castles, etc.

I wonder when we get Stronghold: Legends and Stronghold: 2
Neither are in stores any more, only online. And some third-party has already started selling a "deluxe" stronghold 2 with a crappy frontend launcher.
GoG: Something to look into ;)
