Bobak7x7: any help for win 7?
already launching as admin with compatibility mode :(
You most likely need DirectX 9.0c to begin with.

1. Download DirectX 9.0c redistributable from June 2010 from Microsofts official website.
2. Run directx_Jun2010_redist.exe.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen. This setup will extract the necessary files to the folder of your choosing.
4. Once the setup closes, open the folder to which you extracted the files.
5. Run DXSETUP.exe as administrator and follow the instructions on the screen.
6. Restart your computer.
7. (Optional) Remove the folder with the extracted installation files if you wish to conserve space. This is perfectly harmless, as the files have been installed in the proper system folders.

Cheers man, I just did it.

Unfortunatly still nothing happens when I click play. The Button turns grey for 3 sec then it says syncing cloud-savegames and thats it. There is also no process starting in the task-manager.
I also went to the Stronghold-folder and tried to start the .exe dircetly...

Any ideas?

Edit:
Might have sth to do with the resolution? My Monitor has 1920x1080. Older games use to struggle with widescreen sometimes, right?

Remove the compatibility mode, because the game had code updates in the past few years.
