As the title says, i'm having constant frame rate stutter in SSZ DC. Original SSZ runs perfectly. Is this a case of poor optimization or is my hardware not quite good enough? I would try updating my graphics driver, but when I do it seems to break the frame rate of a few older games. Thanks for any help.

My specs:

Intel Core i5 3570K (3.4 Ghz)
Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 (2 GB)
8 GB RAM
Windows 7 64-bit

Got the same problem, but also had it on SSZ with latest updates!

GTX 680m, 3612QM, 16 GIG Ram, Win 7 64 bit.
GPU-Usage is round 25%, CPU-Usage also isn´t high.

Already did a playthrough(with constant 60 FPS) on way weaker graphics cards...
Already tried the common tricks like disableing Nvidia Optimus, maximumPowerSettings InOs & InDriver, VSYNC Settings, FPS-Limiter and so on...
Experience so for: Setting FrameRateLimiter at 60 FPS & PreRendered Frames at 1 while disableing VSYNC is actually delivering "good" results---bt it´s not enough to make constant 60 FPS availible, as game should be able to provide.
(GPU never got more busy than 60% with that driver settings...)

Solution: VSYNC Ingame has to be turned off, but Adaptive VYSNC has to be turned on instead in driver.
No FrameRateLimiter, no TrippleBuffering!

I didn't think to try that, but it worked! You are awesome for giving that solution dude.

Glad to hear that!
It took a while, but I really wanted to replay that game (preparing for all that SpaceSims in the near future) so I did my best and tried nearly every combinations of those driver options... ;)
I had tried everything listed above, and simply could not make the game play stutter-free. Then, while looking around in the installation folder, I found a second executable, "SSZ32.exe", which I assume is the 32-bit game executable. When I launched the game using that executable, instead of the default "SSZ.exe", it played liquid smooth for me. If you've exhausted all other options, try using this executable. It may be just that simple for you, too.

I would use that, but i've heard it's not officially supported by the developer or something.

Yeah, my stutter issues seem to have returned for some unknown reason. I'm baffled by this, but I guess i'll just play something else until the developer fixes their game.
