Every time I change anything in ini file of the game,the game just won't start and it doesn't matter if I change it back,the game just won't start at all until I bring back the original file from the back-up archive

Someone mentioned editing the file in hexadecimal, backup the file first. Someone online made a cheat file too. don't know if that will help.
