Didn't work for me? Anybody with any ideas on how to center the screen?
Have you tried using the settings on the monitor, like auto or screen size/centering. Especially in the analog monitors, they usually need to be set differently for different screen resolutions.
I'm assuming you're using an LCD since some don't know what to do with really low resolutions. You might try setting the full resolution in DOSBox to 1024x768 since this is a really standard resolution and then adjust the scalar line to:
scalar=normal3x
or something like that. I have also heard that the output mode can have an effect for some reason as well, you could also try:
output=surface
output=opengl
Hope that helps!

Thanks for the replies everyone, unfortunately none of these things did the trick. Anyone else with some ideas? Also I am using an Flat screen monitor.

Try setting the resolution to the native resolution of your monitor. If you have a 17 incher, it's probably 1280x1024, and set the output to "ddraw".
Adjust your monitor settings (the buttons on the fron of the monitor or a remote control if you have one) until the entire screen fits onto the moitor, most monitors will have a useful auto adjust feature that you just press 1 button for and it will automatically do this

This. Most flatscreen monitors have presets for different resolutions, depending on the monitor, you have to correct the screen centering manually for each different resolution you're using (only the first time for each, though).
