Interpay and Alpine Studios announced a partnership to revive Stonekeep.
They're planning on releasing a new version through Nintendo's WiiWare in the 3rd quarter of this year.
"The new game play will provide fun, a little fear and many exciting moments to all family members who dare to seek their fortunes and rid Stonekeep´s dungeons and corridors of evil using the Wii Remote™ controller," said Les Pardew, the founder of Alpine Studios.

I don't own a Wii either, but reviving the franchise increases the chance a new Stonekeep for the pc might appear some day.

I hope it is as captivating as the first Stonekeep. I remember playing it back in the day, and it is what brought me to GOG to begin with. Awesome news.

This is great news! Back in the day there was quite a bit of work done on a sequel but the project was scrapped. Also, a paperback novel was released that bridged the gap in time between the end of the first game and where the new game was supposed to pick up (cover image attached). I wonder if this will somehow incorporate some of that original sequel storyline.

I just got The Oath of Stonekeep for Christmas!

Also, new release date for the Wii is on IGN... 2011 TBA... at least it isn't 4th quarter 2010 anymore....

I can't find much info in the way of Alpine Studios though....

Yeah, i just browsed Nintendo Wii-ware shop channel. Thanks for the update.

Looks like I will be buying a Wii this year, pretty much exclusively for Wii Stonekeep & Xenoblade Chronicles.
