Yes, I have a question about a strange green interactive wall-mounted orb on the 2nd level of Khull-Khuum's Tower. The only way to get to this room with the green orb is to teleport into the room from a hidden room behind the silver cross marked wall on the 1st floor.
the button is interactive, but seems to do nothing. Gives me no enchantments, does not recharge my runecasters, and from what I can tell does not unlock or open any doors or walls. I tried casting different magicks on it, attacking it, the works. Anyone know what this does?
I have attached 3 pictures... what it looks like front on, what it looks like from the side, and where it is located on the map.

I don't have a save game for that bit to check it, but if that is X11 Y13 i think it's one of those buttons that doesn't do anything.

It LOOKS like it should recharge your runecasters, but I don't actually remember myself whether it does anything. My next guess is that it heals you. I vaguely remember a button providing healing at some point. It's quite possible that when I found this I ended up writing it off as not doing anything, though. Anyone else remember?

That's in The Pits, in a section with two buttons. One heals your party, the other one is useless, much like this green button/orb thingy.
Edit: I think there's also a couple of 'one time heal' buttons in the game, but i can't remember where.

Not quite. The other button in The Pits that you're talking about heals afflictions.

Last time I played through STONEKEEP (finished it a month ago) I found two green orbs - one in the Palace of Shadows and one in Khull-Khuum's Tower. I seem to recall one healing me and one charging my rune casters, although I can't seem to remember which is which.

I'll go back to a save and confirm.

ETA:

Okay, I checked and the one in Khull-Khuum's Tower level 2 charges mana. You have to take the rune caster out of your inventory, drag it over the green orb and click so the hand does the twisting animation. It's just like that "mana beast" behind that one door in the Throggi Temple.

And this of course means the green orb in the Palace of Shadows is the healing one.

Ah, thanks for that. I never found any use for that button and ended up wrtiting it of as useless.

While this is true, the Palace of Shadows has two green orbs. The green orb on the west side heals you. Did you find the green orb on the east side of that level? It does the same thing as the one in Khull-Khuum's Tower.

Not sure. For those four hidden corner areas I remember two having signs in them, one having the health orb, and I thought the last one was empty, with the exception of a Skeleton. I could be wrong though. I'll go back and check when I have the time, although what you say makes sense.
