Hi there,

I have version 2.3.1 installed and wanted to update it to 2.3.2. For Windows there is a 10 MB patch available, but for Linux I have to download all 4 GB of the regular installer.
Why are there no patch files available for Linux? Can I find them somwhere else?

Kind regards
There are no official Linux patches for Stellaris.

If there seems to be enough people interested, I might start building custom patches like I used to do for Wasteland 2 and Pillars of Eternity. I had a look at the game files layout, and I think I should be able to build quite small patches quite easily.

I still have the following versions at hand, and should be able to build patches to update any of them to the current version (2.3.2.1):
* 2.2.6.4
* 2.2.7.2
* 2.3.0.4x
* 2.3.1.2

I built a patch that you can try: https://www.dotslashplay.it/patches/stellaris/stellaris-gog-linux_2.3.1.2_2.3.2.1.delta.xz (~10Mio)

Assuming you downloaded the patch in ~/downloads/ and your game is installed in ~/games/stellaris/, here would be how to apply it:
unxz ~/downloads/stellaris-gog-linux_2.3.1.2_2.3.2.1.delta.xz
rdiffdir patch ~/downloads/stellaris-gog-linux_2.3.1.2_2.3.2.1.delta ~/games/stellaris/
The "rdiffdir" command is provided by duplicity,
Ok, thanks for the information. I already suspected that there are no official patch files. What a bummer.

And thank you for your effort, but I deinstalled the game, fetched all the installer files and installed everything again.
