Hi. I have bunch of saves and even if I delete them they show up again after every game restart. I tried to delete them in "my documents" folder but they are still there - but now marked as corrupted. How to fix it?
This question / problem has been solved by AngusIrwinimage
I have the same problem, got a bunch of corrupted saves that keep reappering due to being saved on the cloud but can't find a way on how to delete them from there... help would be highly appreciated.

The corrupted saves appeared after using the game "cleansing" option "Clear user directory" on the interface where you can press Play.

Thanks for the feedback!
I too have the same issue with cloud saves, even though cloud saves don't work yet. I've tried deleting the games normally, cleaning the directory as well as going into the folder and doing it manually. When I reload the saves reappear as corrupted. The number of them is also beginning to cause the game to lag whenever I bring up the load game screen.

I have informed whoever runs the Stellaris twitter about the issue, they will forward it to their dev team since we can't post on the Stellaris support forums unless we have a steam copy and link our paradox and steam accounts.

Thanks, didn't think to try asking them about it.

Edit: Just to add some more information. If you delete a save game but it returns from the dead as corrupted don't make another empire using the same preset/template/whatever. The game thinks the corrupt saves are part of this new one and causes some issues. I can load a corrupt save but it will just be blank. The solution right now is to just turn off cloud saves.

I'm also attaching a screenshot in case it helps the developers.

Edit 2: Electric Boogaloo: Forum doesn't like the screenshot, so I'll just link it to Imgur instead

Yeah once I realised this was an issue (as in, hit the max save limit) I turned off auto-save, but yep, huge pain (because that particular game is going really well!).

Thankfully there is a way to one-click delete save files before loading one up, so it's not as cumbersome and RSI-inducing as it could be.. I'd still really like it fixed, though.
I've found out how to fix this problem. There's a file called "pops_filestorage.index" in Documents/Paradox Intereractive/Stellaris which keeps a list of all your save games, delete it and the next time you run the game all the deleted save games should be gone and won't pop up. This may delete all your other saves though so I suggest backing those up beforehand.
Well, you can edit out the broken saves from the index file. It's cumbersome, but works. Proper save support still would be better
I had the same problem. Came to this forum looking for a solution and found it. Thanks.

The only other way is to go into the file and manually go through the list of save files and delete the ones you don't want. Depending on how many saves you have this can be incredibly cumbersome.
