thinkofitnow: The game, and all DLC downloaded and installed fine. The game runs great! However, for whatever reason, when first opening Steel Division 2 & it detects that I'm not signed into a eugen account, it prompts me to create one. Part of the creation process involves entering the cd key for the product. I've figured out how to get the key, which involves me signing into my gog account and obtaining the key from there. However, when I enter the key provided, the eugen sign up process says that it's an invalid cd key and will not allow me to sign in or create an account.
Does anyone know why the CD key isn't recognized as a valid key?
Thanks!
HerrVladika: I have problem in finding my cd key.
Where did you sign in to see your cd key?
You won't be able to find the key through the GOG Galaxy application where you would launch your game from. Instead, log into your account through a web browser, then once logged in, select the drop down arrow next to your account, then select 'Games'. Next, select the actual game that you're attempting to find the key for. Once you see the details about your game appear in the window below, select the drop down arrow next to "MORE". You will then see a new menu appear. Within that menu, select 'SERIAL KEYS'. Your serial number (key) for that game will appear then.
Seriously that shit should be out front, and accessible through the GOG Galaxy app as well, but I'm not on their dev team lol. People should not need to go through so many steps to obtain the key! Furthermore, when someone makes a purchase which requires a game to be installed and opened through a launcher, the key used for installing the game should be immediately recognized and not make a customer dig around through forums and support because the brand new game they purchased isn't being recognized as using a valid key. To help you out (and I'm sure many others), I've attached a screen shot to this post to show you the specific place to find the key.
