Ya better have a high-end NVIDIA board for starters, and a Cray mainframe for good measure.

Two WW2 sims here to consider: Strategic Command: War in Europe is a strategic level treatments of the European Theater, and probably the best of its kind on GOG. As for a more tactical approach, Order of Battle deals with individual scenarios both in Europe and the Pacific. OoB has a number of DLCs, so the dollars or euros can add up. Best advice, wait till the OoB base game and DLCs are on sale and you may save as much as 50% on the lot. Patience is a virtue, and good things do come to lads who bide their time. ;-))
PS: Speaking of strategy game sales, check this out ~ https://www.gog.com/forum/general/midweek_sale_war_games_up_to_80_off_2c9c9
