Thanks for making this love letter to the genre and (hopefully) reviving dev interest in mature iso adventures. Sanitarium cracks my top 5 so imagine my glee when I loaded this up. Extremely impressive that this was a labor of so few. I missed the kickstarter but picked up deluxe for good measure. The art was superb; I would have loved to be able to zoom in on the environments but I imagine this was an engine limitation. Was Planescape also an inspiration? I ask because of Morgan, obviously, but I also saw Avellone in the thank you credits. I thought John's voiceover was spot on...even his trolling ("...Although"). Little touches like having him slump when emotional really forged a connection. Thanks again for your hard work.

MINOR SPOILER:

I was intrigued by the carven edifice late in the game which seemed to suggest some kind of tribal sentience bred from the SEED waste. Any follow-up?
Hey Lunies,

Thanks for your very kind words!

Mark is a brilliant composer so I am sure he was inspired by his past work as well as the story of STASIS -
in the deluxe package you will find some of the art that he used as inspiration.

Chris A. helped us in the promotion of the game and was a great supporter. We had the opportunity to meet him at GDC this year which was a dream come true.

I like to think that the sculpture of mucus was of Malan - the creator :)

Take care.

Was thinking that...nose gave it away :)
+1 to topicstarter - awesome game!
Great story and amazing graphics / music / voice acting!
Last adventure game that gave me so much joy and was so immersive - Primordia (even despite those huge pixels :)).
And before that - yes, Sanitarium.
Thank you The Brotherhood!
P.S. And one more extra thanks for your quick response and help in resolving all these minor issues even months after release - it's a real proof of dedication to your work.
No prob! :) Please leave a review on the GOG page as well.
SPOILERS ALERT!

Good game. Great atmosphere, great audio and graphic design. The story is narrated well, but it is somewhat typical for the genre and reminds me of Pandorum and others... anyway, I can't get bored by ghost ship stories. The only minus is the overwrought ending - a bit cheesy but at least we can hope for a sequel as he is still on the ship.

Hi Koyot,

We are doing a DLC chapter (in pre-production) that takes place in familiar settings but
will be leaps ahead in the graphics department. We are hoping for 2 hours or so gameplay.

Ni NIc,

Great news! I suppose that you can't reveal whether it will be prequel or sequel? Or a parallel story? :)

Will the DLC use the same engine and have the same system requirements? Asking this because I run Stasis on Intel HD Graphics and minimal CPU specs on which it runs perfectly fine due to the 720p limit.
Also, can you share any info about the price of the DLC?

Already bought and played Stasis twice (from GOG both times) so I'm happily done with the base game until I replay it a couple years down the road. New content is therefor highly welcome. I don't feel like Stasis needs a direct or even indirect sequel as it works on its own but I'll certainly have both eyes on anything you make regardless of the setting and story. Since you and your brother dual-handedly revived the isometric adventure game niche, I'm quite convinced that anything you create will be of interest.
No hard details yet, we will start making regular blog posts on our site in Jan to document the process like we did with STASIS. It is called CAYNE and will reference the events of STASIS heavily.
We will be using UNITY but still using pre-rendered graphics which means it will run on lower spec machines but it will be 1080p - we will also have a ton of tweak-able settings for people with older machines to ensure it runs well.

Sounds great! So far, the Cayne chapter DLC is my only planned game purchase for 2016 so there is quite some anticipation there :)
I hope it will run on my aging system - 2.2 GHz Intel CoreDuo, 4 GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics - but from the sound of things it seems you'll not give up on those of us who are incorrigible low tech holdouts.
