Playing through the game now but while I can save/load existing saves without trouble, I can't seem to remove extra saves from my list.

Any way around this, perhaps something exceptionally obvious?

Sure thing,
The saves are stored here:

PC Users: - (REPLACE USERNAME WITH YOUR WINDOWS USERNAME, YOU CAN GET IT BY TYPING %APPDATA% INTO EXPLORER)
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\The Brotherhood\Stasis\Savegames

Mac Users:
~/Library/Application Support/The Brotherhood/Stasis/Savegames
