in this case i usually shut down my dock to prevent new aliens from coming in while tracking the one that quit, while hes on his way i usually target him and give him a promotion, he then turns around and goes back to work.

and in the rare cases this didnt work ive just packed up all means of exit from my station for a while

Found that if I hire Kasvagorian in the end after I have most of the bio deck farmed. the rough bar built and a combat store,both tend to quit a lot less!

And thanks for the shutting the port advice, but how do I notice which one is leaving or wanting to leave?

first when u get the message u depower the port once thats done u only see the aliens leaving your station moving there so all u do is wait till a karmarama comes out of the teleport (as they tend to quit while working not while they are not) and then u most likely got the right one, but to be sure try to keep your port seperated from sleeping cells and other commonly used rooms

it's likely that you aren't promoting them
