I just picked up the game and am having a graphics glitch.

Certain Sun graphics are fading in and out repeatedly, like disappearing and reappearing.
I noticed this first on the main menu, and now when I click my home system, the sun image at the bottom is doing it there too.

I've tried both 32 and 64 bit .exe's, and simplified graphics.
I am not sure what else I can do.

It's probably a graphics driver issue. If you can tell me what graphics card and driver version you're using, I might be able to offer more specific suggestions.

But in general, the fix might be to just to check online for an updated driver for your graphics card.

Updated my graphics card drivers to the newest version, but unfortunately the issue is still occuring.

My Laptop:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
6GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6420G
AMD A6-3400M APU Quad Core @ 1.4GHz

Are you on Catalyst 15.7.1, or Crimson Edition 16.2.1 Beta?
(I'm guessing you downloaded one of the two options on this page.)

The Crimson Edition Beta drivers have proven a bit buggy for some of our players; you might want to try switching to Catalyst 15.7.1, assuming that's not the version you already have installed.
I had gone into my Device Manager and downloaded an auto-update for the drivers.

However, I have now followed your link and downloaded the drivers you mentioned. This worked and the issue is now fixed!

I apologize for taking up your time.
I am quite happy I can now play though. :)
