no combats, did not even play the game a minute, because moving the mouse lags like crap. Even on medium settings. I run new games on max always without any issues and this does not even get fluent on a gunship with no action (game start).

This tells me something is off with the game.

btw, fresh system install with all drivers up to date and no issues with other games whatsoever.

Applied the issue to gog because after 1-1,5 h not even playing the game, just looking for troubleshooting is not what you expect from a product.

Even though something went terrible wrong if you are required to make science on bringing the game to work smooth, while the stuff with gog is running I want to give it a chance to maybe solve the issue. so far anything I found via google related to it and anything i tried did not help. Most of help is "did u install ya latest drives..." and "did you try to disable vsync (probably people who randomly changed switched and don't even know what they talk about)
Just bought it. Smooth as silk on max settings.
Sorry to hear you're having trouble with the game. With PC, it's always something new. I can tell you I haven't seen any performance related post since Early Access and that was before game optimization. Which definitely means something is off, but it's hard to tell what or just blame it on the game. Sometimes 3rd party programs like antivirus software slows the game down, sometimes yes, it's the outdated drivers causing problems. But the game mostly works well even on slower computers.

Please, take a moment to start the game, when it starts stuttering or lagging, exit, go to game folder and send your last save game and log.txt from game folder to customersupport@starpointgemini.com. Please add link to this thread so our programmers can see what's it about. Thank you.
Actually I found a lot performance posts, most fixed by confirmation from users, after initially having trouble to reproduce. Must note, the communication was nice and calm and the problem solved at the end. The hardware of the users was not fully utilized by the game. Some issues were fixed over multiple times, like multiple cases for bug trigger, solved for one, left for other, but then fixed. And in my case it looks like the utilization is also not good, maybe I have yet another such edge case.

I currently run through some things GOG want me to run through to make sure its not something stupid. Must stuff sounds rather unlikelly and some of it would require me to cripple my system (actuall things that are normal and standard and nothing special, any game has no probs with it) configuration to make the game work, which is a no-go - if its the case.

But lets be patient and see. I kind of would like to play the game, but not like that ;(

Nothing helped. On planets I even have like 5-10 fps... The issue also on stations in menus. Even the animation when docking is stuttering.

Found an issue where someone had exactly the same and developers wondered, because it should work fluent there, especially hangar takes not much performance. But in that case it was a laptop with integrated graphics accidentally used by the game. In my case I have desktop PC with no integrated graphics ;(

I have not disabled everything and set graphics on LOW, on planets I have now 15-20 fps. Mouse stuttering. This ist a joke on the rig...

Can you please send us DXDiag, your log.txt and your last save game to customersupport@starpointgemini.com so our programmers can look into it. I'm sorry for delayed response.
I did it already. The issue could not be solved by GoG and your support.

I was anyway suspecious because all issues I found were similar to my, but solved and no recent similar issues found otherwise.

Finaly I found the issue, almost overseen it. For some reason the GPU did not scale up to x16 lanes and kept being at x4 lanes PCIE. The funny is only happened in this game other worked without any issues. Since the system was fresh install with all updates, and even reinstalled drivers using DDU, I did not suspect any installation issues.

But nobody else had the issue, or I could not find, which is like this one, so It can't be the game, or at least not ONLY the game. Something special must be about whatever it does, that triggers the issue, when other conditions, only I have, are met.

I kind of tried lot of stuff for a while, and one day an driver update rolled in and after the update the issues was gone O.o
The update notes did not even state anything that seemed like an issue related to the game... They kind of all related to AAA titles. Weird.

It maybe explains to you why on planets or near stations the fps dropped insane? Loading textures or other throughput?

No clue man, but I'm really happy you got it working. Also, big thanks for taking time to share info on the fix, it might help us and others who might have similar issues. Much appreciated!
