Warlords, the newest Starpoint Gemini, hits early access tomorrow sometime. Think GOG will be getting it?

Not in Early Access, but it's confirmed that Warlords are coming to GoG, Steam and Xbox One on release. :)

Is there a reason that you can't put it in GOG's In Development category as well as Steam's Early Access in a similar way to the new Masters of Orion game?

Yes.
On Steam, we can update the game when we see fit, sometimes a few times a day, if needed or if we released some critical hotfix. On GoG it takes several days for every update. Also, having 2 different communities in Early Access is something we couldn't cover at the moment and in this stage where the game is changing constantly. Not to forget, Xbox players asked why not Xbox preview program. And that's just it, we're smaller team than Masters Of Orion and covering three different communities across three platforms would be impossible. :-/

Gotcha. I guess I'll just wait until release to get it on GOG!

Unlike SPG2 which came much later on GoG then on Steam, with Warlords we will try to release it at the same time or shortly after Steam release on both GoG and Xbox One. :)
