I have a number of blueprints ready to build under Fleet, Items but although it is stated that the item can be built in any station and will then be consumed, there is no such option at any and all stations. Also the help file of that screen states that I should click on the "load" icon and then pick a quick-slot to install it but there is no such button on this screen. Furthermore, the tutorial for the Fleet screens does not mention the Items screen where the blueprints are located. Is this something that was added to the DLC but not actually supported in the main game? If this is the case then it's an other major disappointment with this game. Why have the player loose time collecting blueprints and artifacts when there is no way to use them!!!???

when you collect all blueprints for a specific item, you should be able to "buy" that item at any station's Drydock. Usually at the bottom of the list. It basically means that you gave the station blueprint of the item and they manufactured it for you.

If that is not the case, then something's wrong. Please check that and if you can't find that item in Station's drydock, send us your log.txt (in game folder) and save game to olive@starpointgemini.com so we can try to see what's the problem.

There are (or were) a few stations where blueprint construction isn't available. I don't remember which ones anymore, but try visiting some other stations to see if the item shows up in the purchase list there.

I tried at least 20 of them if not more. I tried planet stations. I tried stations in a number of different zones. It's never available. My game is definitely broken. I am now at Kepler station and although I can board it, I can't send troops in. That option is greyed out so, I can't complete the mission. I'll try to boot in Win7-64 and run the game that I installed on a separate drive so that I can run it and load saved games from any of the two operating systems also loaded on separate SSD's. Edit: Tried it and same issues. Obviously not an operating system problem. I had many crashes with the game so far and it's possible it got corrupted. I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling but without deleting the saved games to see if it helps. If not, I'm out because I am not going to start over from scratch at least for a long while.
Edit2: I tried a reload but no success. I went as far back as I could with my saved games but could not find one where the option to build blueprints is available.

I'll send you the files. Problem is, in addition, I'm stuck at Kepler station because the option to send the required troops is greyed out and thus I can't complete the mission.

That indeed sounds like some game files are corrupted or something. Please send us your save and log as described aboce and you can copy paste this description to your mail so we know what we're looking for. Sorry once again.
I downloaded and installed the new version but it did not solve the problem. There is still no option to make blueprints at ANY station. Too bad. I really enjoyed that game. However, after spending so much time on it, I won't start from scratch. I uninstalled it for good.
Sorry to hear this, but if it didn't solve the problem then it must be something with the installation, becase we don't have any reports on that issue. I would ask you to send us log.txt and your save game so we can see what's happening and try to fix it, but since you uninstalled it already, I won't bother you.

After reading your post, I remembered that I had saved my last game and log file to an other directory when I sent it to you prior to the update. I was going to resend it when I decided one last attempt. Since the game was uninstalled I did a fresh install with the updated version rather than on top of the old one like I had done. It did the trick!!! I can now buy and install completed blueprints. Problem solved!
