HI,

is it planned to have any updates for this Game? Or do i have downlad them form any other site?
Yes, there will be regular updates, but they will come a bit after Steam ones. It's much easier to push an update on Steam so it will be faster there. But devs won't neglect GoG community.
Official developer statement:

Danijel (LGM developer):
The plan is to have each update both on Steam and on GoG, but as I've said in a one of the other threads, we have it easy on Steam. Whenever we want, we simply release an update. GoG works a bit differently, and we can't do it ourselves, but we'll flesh out the details with the good folks at GoG. We plan to wrap up an update for GoG during today, and release it there, together with the German and Russian localizations. I mean, we plan to send it all over to GoG, and then the ball's in their court ;). But I'm sure there won't be any problems :)

I hope that answers it. I'm here if you'll have any more questions. :)
Hey, this sounds good.
Thanks you
I really do hope the upcoming patch fixes the memory leak(s) that are causing my current problems (and gets released asap). After a while of gaming Windows goes bonkers how the program has consumed all the available RAM and must be closed. That is with 8 GB RAM. Ugh.

edit; I also gotta add that I've liked the game so far, a very pleasant surprise indeed.

Can you, please, go to your game folder after you crash (but before starting a new game), and take both log.txt and your save game on which oyu crashed and mail it to oliver@starpointgemini.com.

With your report guys can pinpoint and fix the problem faster.

Thanks and I hope it will be resolved soon.
Two Week since the last Update.

Think this was the first and last "New" Game i bought from GOG, that money does not go to Steam it simply will not be spend. Sad.

Same for me. I've written and requested a refund in order to repurchase from Steam. Have not received a reply. I asked 1) Will they honor 30 day money back guarantee 2) What will be done in future to allow developers an easier way to update their games. It is not fair for customers or developers to receive 2nd rate service.

Edit: I did not realize at the time of purchase that the game was very much still in development, with both many bugs and many promised features. Infrequent updates ruins the experience.

Owning it on Steam wouldn't make a difference; the game itself hasn't received any updates in the last two weeks.

When it comes to updates, the only difference is that GoG usually takes a day or so to run a separate QA round on the patch and create a standalone installer. That extra QA round has occasionally caught bad patches with various games (while in those circumstances, Steam users ended up with corrupted games and/or lost saves), which is why they take that extra step.

SG2 does seem to have a lot of "features still to come", although it works just fine as a sandbox right now. I'm okay with waiting for more features since the sandbox was all I was expecting (as long as it doesn't go the microtransaction route for the new stuff), but I realize that won't be the case with everyone.
Guys, I can elaborate on this.

There was a gaming fair in Zagreb, Croatia last week and guys (only 7 of them in the team) didn't had any time to work on the game, at least not full time.

Guys are back at work now, new update is already on Steam and I think GoG version will be here in a few days, depending on GoG moderators since they are the one that publish updates, not LGM.

Yes, they should've mentioned thegaming fair in a new topic to keep you up to date, but the fair organisation was so hectic and everything was done the last minute that they simply forgot. Their mistake, no argument there, but they didn't abandon the game nor their gamers.

I do understand your bitterness, and if you want a refund I understand it, I'm just saying that new update is coming in a few days on GoG, as far as I know.

We still havent got the 1.008 patch yet and they are already on 1.009, so yes it does make a difference being on steam. It been like a month since we have had a patch. Plus there was a big gap between the first patch we got here and the patches they got on Steam.

This will also be the last game I buy new from GOG.com.
Yes this really poses a problem for developers since everybody depends on GoG, not themselves like on Steam.
New update is coming out soon on Steam for SPG2, and not sure how much time will it take to get it to GoG.

Hopefully, GoG's Galaxy will solve this updating problem once and for all.
Guys if you're that worried, please contact GOG support. Complaining on the forum about updates not being here and expecting a blue to see it is a bit silly. Support is there for a reason, so just use it.
Since I recently joined LGM team, I can speak as a developer, but yeah, unfortunately, I can't do anything about updates. :(

I'm here for any questions related to game, community, your suggestions and ideas, technical support with the game...
I also won't buy any "new" games on GOG. We're at patch1.010 now and still no delivery. Only disappointment and more waiting. GOG usually does things right, but absolutely NOT in this case.
