ADDED: Convoy escort freelance mission.
ADDED: Global event: War! which can escalate over time. As war escalates, so do actual battles in the region as well. It can potentially mean some nice salvage side profits.
ADDED: Global event: Cease fire which as its name implies ceases all hostilities in a region.
ADDED: When target locking an enemy fighter and the fighter goes off screen - an arrow appears to guide you where he went (as usual)
ADDED: HINT pop-ups in the following panels: Trader, Fleet->Officers, Hiring, Drydock (->Loadout, Enhancements, Systems, Equipment), Best Buy/Sell, Skills and Perks when using controllers

Thanks and have a nice day :)
Thanks! Great updates and it runs well enough to play on my laptop now.
Thanks! You guys are awesome! Your game is awesome! It runs MUCH better on lower spec computers! w00t!
Thank you.

The idea was to make experience on mid-range machines better for our players. Based on the feedback on Steam and now here, I'm really glad we did that.

Also beware of random triggered wars. You don't want to find yourselves in the middle of it. Or do you? :)
Enjoy and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. :)

GoG Team, thanks. :)

How do I know if two factions are going to war with each other?

I heard you guys might be considering making bridge/cockpits at some point in the future. Is this true? What else do you have planned for this game?

You know, this game is quickly becoming another sandbox space game classic like Elite, Frontier, Freelancer, or Privateer. Great job!
Hey captain,

Wars (and cease fire) are randomly generated events so there is no way of knowing for sure when and where the war might emerge. :)

We are considering making bridges (no cockpits since all ships are capital ships), but since that is pretty time consuming and we are focused on DLC and new content, I cannot confirm anything yet. But yes, we are considering it, based on many community suggestions. The main problem, actually, is playability. Since this is a tactical combat sim, you need to be aware of your surroundings. Now you can just turn your camera around your ship and see where enemies are. From bridge view, you would be pretty limited. It would be more of a cosmetic camera view, not good for battles, just for cruising around.

What else is planned? In the next big update we will implement side missions and in the future there will be new ships, new missions... In the expansion the idea is to give you the option to own your station and to conquer parts of the universe for yourself. That not's all that will be in the expansion, just the biggest changes. Gemini universe is not limited in any way so we plan on using that and making it even bigger. We also plan to introduce new galaxies (layers of the maps accessible through Starpoints and some other means) so stay tuned. :)

As for dates, I cannot confirm anything yet, but I will post here when I will have any confirmed info.

Thank you for your support, ncc386. It means a lot to us and it keeps us pushing harder.
Fly safe!
