I tried this game, but decided to quit.
After quitting i noticed that there was a artifact on the right side of my screen.
It was from starpoint gemini 2, it was from map or some indicator thingy (i only played a little, so i don't know).
The artifact doesn't show on desktop, but it appears when i start a game on fullscreen.
I uninstalled the game, but it didn't go away.
I've tried to get rid of it by cleaning memory chache, clean installed video drivers, even uninstalled steam (even if it didn't have any meaning).
I also tried to check regedit if it had something to do with it, but found 2 files which i assinged to 0.
I'm not a computer genius, so i'm not even sure what i'm doing.

How do i get rid of this thing?

You can see it in this pic, on the right side of the screen.

Yeah, that's really strange...you're talking about that bluish bubble thingie, correct?. It looks like remnants of the 3D radar map that is normally located on the the bottom right of your screen when flying your ship in the game. I can't tell you why it's there, but if you go back to the main Starpoint Gemini 2 forum discussion page, and find any thread started by zzokalj (he/she the Little Green Men Community Relations person, and pretty helpful) and then message them, mention your problem and alert him/her to your thread here. They may be able to help, or perhaps tell you what info to send via email to their troubleshooting team to figure it out. Chances are, he'll find your thread here, but just to be safe, I'd shoot him a pm to be sure.

Ok, I found the thread. :)

Unfortunately, I have no idea. That can't be bug problem because any bugs related to the game go away once you quit the game. I mean, software that is closed or even uninstalled in your case, can't leave anything on the screen. I would suggest you try to check if there are newer graphics drivers available because this sounds like some kind of graphic error.

You can send us DXDiag so we can check it out, but in this case, game log won't help us much since it's related only to in game bugs and errors. :-/

Sorry for a delayed response.
I talked to our programmers and they never seen anything like that in the game. As I suspected it's probably related to WIndows or graphic card drivers, not the game, because it's impossible for the uninstalled game to leave anything on the screen. :-/

I don't know if the OP has been back or not since you responded, but I'd be curious if he still has the problem, or figured out what was going on. I tend to agree with you, that the problem most likely exists with something on his PC, more than likely, graphics card related. Don't think I've ever come across anybody having a problem like this before, with any game that I know of. If it's not unique, it's definitely probably pretty rare I would venture to guess.
The biggest problem is that if anything happens outside of the game, it's not recorded in game's log so we can't see what happened. But I still think that uninstalled game can't do any problems to a desktop. It's some kind of a glitch, I think most probably related to graphics drivers. I had something similar but it was years ago and usually it helped to refresh desktop screen. But it was my graphic card drivers.
