Trid: I just wonder, does this game have "END" or you can play it forever - or is there any time limit that you have to do something?
You can play it infinitely. Though there is a scene on the first day of the third year.

I agree. Time limit is in my list of hated things in games, along with water levels. :p
The main quest have a time limit, but if you fail you can repeat for how many times you want (if I'm not mistaken you just need to use a diamond, each time you want to repeat).

To avoid spoilers, I'll give you a hint.
Exit your house, walk until the cavern entrance (which is near your greenhouse), and continue walking to the left.
You'll find a "rock", and a letter, read the letter.

Speaking of animals, is there any point in the void egg? I know I can get a void chicken from it but are their eggs worth way more or something?

Yes I got the dinosaur too. I was like: Why should I give it to gunther if I can try to breed it? Then the dino will lay an egg again and I can give that one to gunther.

1. Sebastian loves them
2. It looks cool
3. You need to ship a void egg if you're a completionist. (it's in the farming & foraging list of items)

I didn't have an hatchery at the time (first winter, I was just beginning my first coop, so I didn't know it was possible to hatch eggs), so I didn't realize I could get a dino.

Let's say I was pissed when I found out afterward ^^
