Do you know when is it going to be available on GOG?
Ich würde auch gerne wissen wann Stardew Valley 1.4 auf gog.com erscheint.

Laut den Entwicklern (twitter) wird das Update heute herausgegeben:

"The Stardew Valley 1.4 update for PC/Mac/Linux will be available tomorrow at 10am PST. Less than 24 hours!"

Das wäre heute Abend 19 Uhr (Germany, Berlin), die Frage ist wie lange GOG dafür braucht?

It's here:)
Really? I'm not seeing it. I checked both Linux and Windows, and both said 1.3.36 :(

Edit: Or maybe this is yet another case of the *totally* equal distribution between the galaxy bloatware and the classic installers? I see there is a changelog, so I suppose it's available for those who have inflicted galaxy on their computer.

Hopefully us dirty classics won't have to endure too long :-/

The manual install has the 1.4 but the galaxy isntall keeps trying to install the 1.3.33 version for me for some reason. I don't even see 1.3.36 that people are mentioning.
At this point, I don't see the Linux version yet. The Windows and Mac versions of the manual installer are there. Maybe these things just take some time to show up.

Seems to be par for the course sadly. The Linux installer releases always seem to lag behind the other platforms. I'm a patient fan (you have to be if you're a Linux user), but I'd really at least like an explanation sometime.
I've noticed this before - GOG is sometimes late to update Linux versions. I was hoping that it would be ready by this evening (when I actually have some time to play the game), but it isn't here yet. I tried installing the Windows version on an old computer I have that runs Windows XP, but it won't work there. Even if it did, that computer is probably too slow to run anything less than 10 years old. It also crashes on launch when installed using Wine (.NET is probably the culprit - I tried installing the usual packages using winetricks, but that didn't solve it for some reason). Since the Linux version will likely be out in a day or two, it isn't worth wasting time trying to get it to work on Wine or on the old Windows XP computer. I'll just do something else until it is ready.

Sometimes it is a pain not wanting to use Windows, but many games are available on Linux, and I've had a 95% success rate getting Windows games to run using Wine, so it isn't a huge handicap. (I was surprised that Stardew Valley turned out to be difficult.)
I've played some on the 1.3 version, and hope it's fine to continue on that once GOG find it in their interest to finally release a Linux build. It's more the principle of it really, than necessarily the delay in itself. It gets tiring to always be treated as less worthy simply because we're on a different platform -- yet a platform that GOG claim they support. And as usual they have zero communication. Perhaps because "we don't give a shit" wrapped up in PR speak is still going to get a negative reaction.

Hopefully it arrives before 2020.

Incidentally, this is one of the reasons I prefer to buy games directly from the indie developers, when that is an option. I get the game when it's actually released, not days, weeks or months later, and the developers gets a full cut from the sale.
Still no 1.4 for Linux, shame on you GOG, SHAME ON YOU!

And we wait and wait and wait and wait :-(

It's incredibly frustrating. I asked on the official forum whether any developers were present, and would smack GOG over the head to remind them. Presumably at least the developer cares about all their customers. I am very disappointed with GOG these days. And this problem of lacking Linux releases has been ongoing for years. They simply don't care, which is very sad for those of us who have Linux. I honestly wish there were real alternatives to GOG. People mention itch.io, but the game selection there doesn't make my heart jump.

Don't blame GOG for this; a bug was caught shortly after 1.4 rolled out, so a new patch had to be submitted.

Though, you can blame them for not providing a proper Linux pipeline with deltas.
