Why is the GoG discount on Stardew Valley 20%, while 40% on Steam?

Does GoG wants me to buy it on Steam instead?

It was 40% another time on GOG.. But let me tell you this game is easily worth full price with the amount of content that it has.
This is the type of game that you start playing and you want to start signing your checks over to the developer.

$14.99 is such a modest price, for such an amazing game.

It's extraordinarily cheap for an indie game of its quality and amount of content. Plus it's extremely mod friendly if that's your thing. When/if you become bored with it, SDV Expanded is the unofficial DLC expansion Ape fortunately didn't license for a DLC. It's that good.
See… GOG can give a discount of 40% as well!
I understand, and appreciate, that some of you point out a game is worth full price (and would even pay more than asked).

But, I would not even be interested in buying Stardew Valley if I wasn’t convinced it is worth any money (and more over my time), would I? It simply makes little sense to buy a game at a higher price here than you need to pay next door, right?
You kinda answered your own question with the hard-earned money schtick.

Don't be rude. I could say that you, Swissy, are a first-world citizen who doesn't know (or even care) about how much effort $15 means in other parts of the world.

Regards.
