There's a notification for a game update, but no changelog.

The version changes from '1.1.3.3.' to '1.1.3.3 22 aug 2019'.

What's going on? Does it make any sense to download this update?

This is likely the fix to the Halloween loop bug. See other thread for discussion.

Thanks. That's probably it. A must-download then.
Speaking of update,

Looking at the latest one I saw the setup was now 2 parts :
starcrawlers_v1_1_3_4_8_oct_2019_33035.sh
and
starcrawlers_v1_1_3_4_8_oct_2019_33036.sh
both are 871Mo big.
(yes, linux version here)

The previous version I had was
starcrawlers_v1_1_3_3_27395.sh
which counted 913Mo.

Do I really have to download and installl both files or is it an error and only the latter one is necessary ?
I don't know.
I had uninstalled the game: The UI is now too poor for what hey have added.
Please devs in future: don't fix your game if it wasn't broken.
You just had to kill bugs, not the game.
At least it was free... Maybe that's why it was badly done.
