LordAvatar: Hero backstories have arrived!
Eh? I’m not seeing anything yet on GOG (O.o)
[UI]

In general in desktop programs a click action happens at the place where your mouse pointer is when you release mouse button, in StarCrawlers it’s where you press it.

Example: hover the 1st choice in any dialog. Press and hold left mouse button. Move your mouse to 2nd choice and release mouse button. In StarCrawlers the 1st one will be clicked regardless of the movement, in desktop programs it’s the 2nd.

Not sure exactly how much I care about this incosistency myself, but it’s there if you feel like it.

In games it's often the other way around (especially true for FPP/shooters in general, where a tiny difference in reaction time may put a player at a disadvantage). To be honest I don't think it matters much for a turn-based cRPG, but hey - brownie points for attention to detail. :)

Well, duh, it’s guns not dialogs :)
I’m pretty sure you are aware of the fact but dialogs became pretty slow.

In the meanwhile, backstories are pretty nice to have :) Although I’m not quite sure yet Freelance Hacker’s bonuses are anything really worthwhile for a Hacker… Dodge? Nice. Accuracy? Oh yeah (although you can get that with good equipment). Tiny boost to crit and damage? Dunno…

As for alternatives, hm… Nano resist? Don’t have good ideas ATM %)

Hey!
Never underestimate the power of a quick, witty reply! ;)
This combination does not allow me to start:

I press “Accept and begin” but nothing happens. Button click animates and that’s it.
(spoilers in pictures)

1. Prototype’s Chaos Model ability is not shown when you hover his icon, but there is a plus icon and the status is present in status window if I right-click.

2. Status effect caused by Cyberninja’s Takedown needs a line break before duration.

4. Needs a comma after “Hello,” I think.

5. Grenades in the Talrie’s shop seem to be always level 1.

1. There is no way to check hero’s backstory later in the game.

The other characters do not have a backstory and that’s fine although if they could gain some trait depending on how they perform in battle and/or how you do story missions that’d be cool. That takes time to do, I guess.

3. After you right-click an item in black market to auction it, it moves up but the tooltip remains there obscuring the view.

Hmm, I wonder, what R.U.Ms are saying? Or maybe it’s just me (^  ^)
I was loading a save game and this happened:

Basically, the screen never goes away, messages in lower left change, though, and I can hear the music that’s playing in Terminus IX.

I had to close the game via Alt-F4.

Tested with today’s patch. The save still won’t load.

Well, I didn’t think this patch will help (as it’s a patch for slow dialogs), but just in case.
Hey! Almost recuperated from PAX West and working with GOG to get a dev pipeline set up so we can update quicker. Big patch coming and should fix your save file issue Tiny Salamander - there's a glitch wtth the Hacker's rare starting weapon.

Thank you :)
Update incoming! We're now integrated into the GOG pipeline, so future patches will be updated faster - and we can hotfix issues quicker too! Linux builds must still be manually uploaded, so those will lag slightly behind (but usually not more than a day).
