Hi GOG,

We're Juggernaut Games and we're excited to bring StarCrawlers to GOG's Games In Development!
We've been in contact with the fine folks at GOG since very early in the development of StarCrawlers, and being GOG users and fans of the site, it was an honor to be asked to participate in the Games In Development launch.

The great thing about In Dev on GOG is their commitment to hand-picking and curating the content they offer, and that means we as developers have a responsibility to provide a positive and constructive In Dev experience on GOG, whether In Dev interests you or not.

To that end, we'll be continuing what's made our dev process a success so far: prompt responses to community comments, feedback and reports, regular updates of both the game and patch notes, and generally being pretty positive.

We're a small team of actual people (not a giant megacorp studio :D) and we're fiercely dedicated to StarCrawlers.
Want to be involved in making it even better? Dive in!

Welcome aboard! Can't wait for final release :D
Wasn't there a Linux icon on the game? Or is it just not available at the moment?

We're using the Unity engine and unfortunately their latest patch release broke our Linux build. We're looking into a workaround now and an In Dev Linux version will be available as soon as possible.

Windows 10 compatible?
Hello, Juggernaut Games!

I'm bit skeptical over GID project on GoG, but hey, it's their decision so I won't complain about it. However, I have a question - since this game is on my steam wishlist for ages - how long this project will be in development? Because steam is showing release date as of 17 march 2015, which is closer and closer to year now and on your steam page there's info about release game;

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“We will be in early access for about 6 months, during which time we’ll be focusing on creating new content (additional missions, events, random encounters, environments and loot) to make the StarCrawlers universe even more dynamic, interactive, and fun to explore.”

And now you're released on GoG and sticked post - by GoG team - have exactly same info (so I guess someone forgot to change it). So, when can i except to buy and play full game? ;)

Welcome Juggernaut Games, I've just bought your (in-dev) game, looking forward to trying it out...

Tony.
Hello Juggernaut guys and welcome aboard!

Happy to see StarCrawlers making progress! Although i won't actively support GiD as i've never been a fan of early access in general (although i believe GOG will handle it properly), i can't wait to see your game finished. Cheers!

reative00: Hello, Juggernaut Games!

I'm bit skeptical over GID project!

6 months in Early Access? / Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
Quotation truncated for brevity, but:

I'm bit skeptical over GID project!
We get people being skeptical over Early Access, we're gamers and some of us don't do EA, and some of us love it. The experience for StarCrawlers having an open development process has been extremely positive so far, from the energy of the KS campaign to great feedback and participation not only from backers but also EA adopters, and that's why we're excited for what GOG is doing with In Dev. We feel that curated access to In Dev is a positive step.

Some people like the idea of In Dev and enjoy playing and giving feedback on games still in development. For a small team like us, that is a net win: the game is supported in development & people who are passionate about the game get to be involved.

6 months in Early Access? / Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

That's right! Our initial plan was to spend 6 months in Early Access, but after getting the first alpha build to backers, and the beta build to early adopters, the game has evolved considerably from their feedback. New features, improved systems, quality of life tweaks, things that seem obvious to a player but can be missed in development, in short, making the game better.

Since getting into development, we've been consistent about pushing content updates (~every 2 weeks currently) and updating and talking with the community. Our goal is to release a solid and fun version 1.0, and we're moving in that direction. That said, we're almost ready to announce a release date - but we want to be sure StarCrawlers is delivered on that date in a state that we and our players are happy with.

EDIT: Thanks also for the welcomes everyone & yes, Windows 10 compatible.

Will you add 1280*1024 in the graphic resolution option ?

I'm using the nearest option 1280*960, but I would prefer 1280*1024 if possible ;)
Heyo, your game looks quite interesting. From the video i assume its going to be a Dungeon Crawler in a Scifi-setting? Which would be really cool (i really liked Grimrock) and actually i personally cant remember a game like that existing. It certainly looks good considering the moderate systemrequirements. What will be the intended game lenght (approx.)?
Another point that would interest me would be storytelling. Will it have a more rudimentary story (ala Legend of Grimrock) or something more in-depht?

Enough questions. I hope the whole "in development"- program works out for you guys and GOG.

Thanks! There's not too many modern scifi dungeon crawls, which was part of the reason we were excited to go for it. StarCrawlers is story driven - there is a branching main story with different paths and results based on which factions you choose to ally with or against. We've largely been focusing on the procedural side missions, but we're about to dive back into the main story :D

Do you have a regular upgrade deployment plan for GoG?

Like would there be a weekly or monthly upgrade?

Or is it more going to be like Alpha, Beta, then Release.
