Warning, there might be a mild spoiler ahead.

I am in the story mission where you need to find 3 bots.
It is straightforward enough, but I am having trouble getting to the dorm overseer. I know of the security camera and I found both the circuit redirector and the gas pressure settings. I also found a few circuit numbers here and there, including the one with the overseer. Still, nothing I try works. What's worse, the circuit redirector locks me out after 3 tries. After that, I cannot do anything else, not even leave the mission (because it is not finished yet).

Any pointers?

I had a bit of trouble with it too. Maybe there are multiple routes through it. Anyway I eventually found that the dorm level is a bit of a decoy; you can flush him out of his hiding place by doing things on the lower two floors.

Also now that I can reflect back on it; this is really clever level design.

I already thought about this seeing one specific room (and function) one level below. However, it did not work. Are there several things to do on the lower levels?
And yes, I agree on the level design. In many places, the devs manage to draw a lot of diversity from the somewhat limited "turn-based-crawler" concept. I never thought I'd enjoy one of those since the days of the original Bard's Tale. :-)
You shouldn’t guess them. All the answers are there somewhere nearby. Although it’s not so obvious at first, I guess. You just need to choose where you want “something” to happen. One number is inside the room with the bot (visible through a camera) and another one is somewhere on the wall nearby (room number or something).

this was actually the way I was following in the first place. The number inside the bot's hideout I had already seen, but I am obviously missing something with the pipes. Judging by DrewL831 however, there is also an alternative solution involving the floors below. I will set out tonight and explore them both.

The dorm overseer does not like a mess. Check the fans.

I'm trying to be as non-spoiler as I can. <Spoiler warning>

So I tried the camera to spot the number. But it did not work directly & the terminal died on me.
Another terminal does not shut down, but I could never figure out the correct entry.

Eventually I started checking the lower levels for something I missed. There is one action on floor 1 and another on floor 2 to pollute floor 3.
I particularly liked the galley level because of Iron Chef Mechamoto.
