Has any one had any success on setting up rudder pedals using the Target software? I have then and would love to be able to use them.

The only game with full 4 axis support is XWA, in all the others you can't roll and yaw at the same time.

Oh OK. Well I would still like to be able to use the pedals for rolling since the I hear the twist on the thrustmaster sticks tend to wear out fairly quickly.

You can't even use the twist until XWA. Only pitch and yaw, throttle introduced with the windows ports (in 1/3 steps) and X-wing vs Tie Fighter (3% increments with virtual detents at 1/3 and 2/3).
If you use Joystick Gremlin or TARGET you can program a 1/3 steps throttle in the DOS games using the corresponding keyboard commands. But roll can't really be done, I tried by mapping the arrow keys in Tie Fighter and it acted really weird.
Yeah I've pretty much given up on trying to map rudder twist. It's weird though because in the past i was able to map rolling to the rudder twist on my old cyborg pro using xpadder.

You might be able to use vJoy/UCR to set the rudder pedal to act as Button 2 on the joystick and left input on the joystick?
Well for whats it's worth I did manage to get rolling set up to the rudders. But I don't think I like the way its feels so I'll be sticking with using a button plus the stick to roll.
