I've gone and bought this - I absolutely loved the game - and I have a joystick on order to play it.

However I'm not sure what version to play. I know there's enhancements for I think both the 95 and 98 version, but which gives the higher resolution/better experience?

Play the Dos CD version. I always found it to be the best one. I never cared for the newer better graphics and losing iMuse music system.

Not really. Most people will tell you that the addition of janky textures of the 98 version are not worth losing the iMuse. The canned soundtrack really detracts from the original experience.

The graphics in the 98 version are ultimately still simple no matter what so the Gouraud shading gets the job done.
