Ok, so I really need help with this. I can't get my joystick (either of them) to work for TIE Fighter. It runs through dosbox on my mac (OS X). Now, I've already been through many troubleshooting forums (including this one) and still none of them have helped me much. I've managed to eliminate one problem, where the cursor spastically flails around the concourse screen. However, inflight control is utterly impossible. I also can't get the stick to register during calibration, neither movement nor button presses. I saw some people with this issue, but it seems they were able to help themselves by calibrating the joystick mid-mission. This does not help me (in fact, doing so forces me to reset the game completely, as it won't even register mouse clicks at that point, which is different from the start up calibration because I can click through that with the mouse).

I have gone into the .conf document and made changes (that's how i stopped the cursor flails), and have included a screen cap of my current setup.

I have a Thrustmaster joystick and a Logitech Extreme 3D pro joystick.

Help me, forum members, you're my only hope!

Oh and the version of the game I'm using is, i believe, the '95 one. Graphics aren't pixels, they're lower quality 3D models, but I still get the original midi music (which I believe got taken out of the '98 version).

No, it's Boxer standalone. Have you tried it in the full version of Boxer?

I have no idea what Boxer is.

Ok, so this explains a lot. Lots of people on other forums and threads mentioned running it through this, and problems that may arise. I honestly can't remember how or in what form I downloaded TIE Fighter, it was months ago. I am not totally sure how to get Boxer to actually run TIE Fighter now (i downloaded it through your link).

Is this not the GOG TIE Fighter '95 Colletor's Edition? Where did you "download" it from? If it is the GOG version then it's using Boxer standalone as I already said. Right-click - Show Package Contents - Browse under Content/Resources. It may be wrapped in another .app. Keep going until you get to the .boxer. That you can copy out to the folder in your home directory and then run it.
I honestly can't remember where I got it from, though I suppose it must not have been through here. There is no .boxer in any of the files.

Also it appears my bank will not let me buy it from here without special approval.
