Hi, since I've switched from my old GTX 680 to a new GTX 1070 I've been getting extremely bright screen everytime I launch X Wing 1998 and Tie Fighter 1998. XvT is fine though.

The in-game brightness settings are un-responsive: I can increase or decrease it through the selection but the screen remains way to bright.

Any clue?

Same problem over here! I don't know how to fix it. :-P
Here's how I fixed it on my system:

1. Right-click your desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel.
2. On the left, click "Adjust desktop color settings".
3. Select "Use NVIDIA settings".
4. In the left frame, click "Adjust video color settings".
5. Select "With the NVIDIA settings".
6. Click Apply, then close.

That didn't work to me. Thanks anyway.
I solved it by setting the compatibility to windows 7.

OK, I fell like an idiot; I don't know how it did not occur to me before. Simple and effective.
