alright so i made a post a couple days ago about this but i didn't really get help. tie fighter 1998 is having issues with my joystick. whenever i try to play it it start up just fine and everything,, but when i get into a mission my ship spins out of control. (note: it does this with or without my joystick plugged in) I have gotten it to work a few times but i do not know how. i don't have any other game controllers plugged in and i have set my joystick ot he preferred device. I run the game as an admin and this still happens. I have no idea what the issue is but quite frankly is driving me fucking crazy. If anyone could help me so i could experience this wonderful game i would love you forever
EDIT: alright i don't know if this helps at all but i am playing on a razer blade pro laptop

i actually figured it out. apparently my computer was being detected as a game controller but it wasn't showing up in my actual list i found from control panel. when i went into the device manager and clicked on the properties tab of it i was able to set my joystick above the computer as a preferred device, and i t works perfectly now
