I played the heck out of this game in DOS, on my Wingman Extreme, as well as some XvT and a lot of XWA, and during XWA I had some control problems and moved to a MS Precision Pro2.
I still have it, and it technically works, however once you get out of the center dead-zone it is REALLY touchy. I am playing the TF 1998 CD version and I do not see dosbox stuff in here, so not sure how to do config mods. I have also been coming to the realization that this joystick is old and new OS's/Games don't seem to like it, as I have the same uber touchy way over corrective problems in Star Citizen, and to a lesser degree Wing Commander (on GOG) , it feels like keyboard steering in as much as it is not turning or TURNING. I think it might be OS because in 9x I never had the problem 9I have 2 of these, used to host LAN stuff forever ago) and both of my PP2s have this problem.
So, I assume there is nothing I can do, but can you advise me on a joystick that plays nice with gog games and is fairly well loaded with controls and preferably throttle and a rudder(twist), not a basic, stick and trigger. And will also work well with newer games, like Star Citizen.
Thanks all!
