Playing the 1994 version of the game. The graphics aren't loading properly. During some of the cutscenes, some of the colors are off, and I'm talking pixels are yellow or bright blue where they should be a dull grey. Likewise, on the concourse, I'm getting a ton of individual splotches of yellow, grey, and purple. When I actually play the game, all of space is rendered as yellow. Any ideas?

I'm having the same issue. It was perfect until I updated my joystick driver (I cant see any connection between the two). Hopefully someone has the answer on this.

It seems that Windows is trying to change our palette.

The only solution I have found is to run the game, CTRL+ALT+DEL, end explorer.exe, ALT+TAB to your game, ALT+ENTER to make it full screen. When you're done, just restart explorer.exe.

I was getting lots of blues and pinks on spaceships during cut scenes, and the blackness of space was bright yellow.

I right-clicked on the icon, went to properties, clicked on the compatibility tab, and then checked the box marked "256 colors", then hit apply and now it looks just like it should.

Props to FerretLeader for the info.

Open the file dosbox_tie in notepad

Find the line
output=surface

Change it to
output=ddraw

Fixed it for me and a few other guys who have been having this problem.
