Hello everyone:

I have a question, a lot of people are requesting the 1995 Collector's Edition of this game without much luck yet so I want to know. Would it be against the rules to upload only the files from the 95 release necessary to play the missions of the Enemies of the Empire Expansion pack or is that not allowed also? I apologize in advance if it is but I just want to be sure.
That's technically illegal. :(

People gotta stick with the Windows version to play Enemies of the Empire for now.

Enemies of the Empire is included in the 1998 version. The original floppy 1994 release never got this expansion in the first place, so that's probably why it's not available for that version. I don't even know if it's possible to add Enemies of the Empire to the floppy version.

Now that we got confirmation from GOG.com that they do not have the rights to release 1995 Collector's CD-ROM version we should just enjoy the current releases for now. The situation is still way better than it was last week - X-Wing and TIE Fighter are now available for purchase and play on modern PC's and we should be happy about that.

If it's files that could be used with the GOG version somehow, I don't view that as a bad thing. However, if it's the full game (wrapped in DOSBox or not), that's a problem.

I wouldn't abandon all hope, it's a default copy & paste reply for these kind of questions. We still don't know how hard it is for GOG to release the 1995 CD version.
Aw man, that sucks... I mean, I still have the CDs of both games here, but it would have been nice to be able to have them here.

Yes, I know what you mean. I also have them both, even the original big cardboard box from the 1995 CD-ROM. I actually also contacted GOG.com asking about the matter but got the exact same response. It seems they've been answering this question a lot these days...

That's what I mean, just the EotE files. Somebody else apparently was able to do it. http://www.dosgames.com/forum/about4011.html

You might message Judas and see what he thinks, but honestly if it's just files that need a copy of the game to play (encouraging people to buy GOG's version), then I would go ahead and create a new thread on the subject.
