Will this game work with the following Thrustmaster flight-stick?

I'd like to know, as I was planning on picking this game up along with the flight-stick for my brother this Christmas. If not, I haven't purchased either yet, so I would like to know if there's a specific flightstick I can buy that's compatible with both Windows 8 and this game. I don't mind setting it up manually through DosBox's remapping menu, though I'd prefer something straightforward for him.
Yes the stick will work, the throttle won't work for the DOS version though but it should work in the Windows version, rudder doesn't work in both versions, these aren't due to the joystick but due to these games not supporting that many axis.

You might want to consider the T.16000M as well, a much better quality joystick.

Could you link me to it? I was just looking for a cheap flightstick with high ratings, I know nothing about what's good and bad in that area.

There's a link below in the one you posted but okay.

What's good about this stick is that it's really well made in similar fashion of a CH Flightstick I've owned.
Another thing is that it uses HAL sensors for x- and y-axis which gives it incredible accuracy.
And also important these sensors won't wear out like potmeters which are more commonly used in joysticks as these spaceflightsims are real torture tests for joysticks.
I remember I bought a cheap joystick for X-Wing decades ago, it lasted a week before miscalibration became intollerable.
