Hi guys I have been playing the Dos CD-ROM Collectors' Edition of TIE Fighter and have noticed that whenever I am in an Assault Gunboat that moving the ship downwards seems to be about 2 to 3 times more sensitive than moving the ship upwards. This does make it more difficult to get a precise aim with a joystick. Even with a mouse it is noticeably more sensitive.

Is this a glitch and are there any fixes for this or is this indeed how the Assault Gunboat was intended to be flown?

This gunboat glitch was present back when the Collector's CD-ROM edition was first released, and it is indeed incredibly annoying. With a proper joystick it's quite noticeable, and I'm surprised it got past QA.

After all these years, it would be amazing if someone were able to put together a patch.
I am noticing the same issue. Very annoying.
